Brendan is an artist and animator. He started at Artifact Pictures after receiving his BA from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2005 his independent work in Fine Arts earned him a nomination for the President's Award for Undergraduate Research. His short animation Ephemera won Best in Show in the 2004 Juried Undergraduate Exhibition, and his senior thesis animation, The Lift, is featured in the lobby-side lounge of Philadelphia's Bridge Cinema. He has also worked as a graphic designer and a teaching assistant for animation courses at a variety of schools. He lives to create, and finds himself perpetually amazed by animation's ability to depict worlds and narratives that originate purely in the imagination. In addition to his projects at Artifact Pictures, he is currently producing a short animation involving a legislative body composed of amphibians.
